This workshop will address the problem of less-than-adequate fees in the freelance sector. We will look at the rates commonly paid by language schools, companies, Volkshochschulen etc. in the Frankfurt area. Are these rates enough to live on? How did this situation come about, and what are the reasons people work for these rates?

We will look at the psychological dynamics of working in a low-income field, share our experiences and look at possible strategies on an individual and group level. If you have any suggestions in advance, please contact Heather Krehbiel at heatherk@gmx.de.
